Ohm's Law is the most basic and most useful formula in electrical work: V = I × R (voltage = current × resistance). From this, power can be found three ways: P = V × I, P = I2 × R, or P = V2 / R — use whichever formula matches the values you already know. In a SERIES circuit the same current flows through every part, while in a PARALLEL circuit the same voltage appears across every branch. Practice rearranging these formulas so you can solve for any missing value quickly.
