Terms of Use

Effective date: April 30, 2026

Draft notice: these terms are a working draft. Have legal counsel review and tailor them to your jurisdiction before public launch.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Electrician Practice Tests and electricianpracticetests.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Educational use only

The Site provides practice questions and study material for electricians preparing for licensing and certification examinations. The content is for educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for the National Electrical Code itself, for official study guides published by your licensing authority, or for instruction from a licensed electrician or accredited program. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any information against authoritative sources before relying on it for licensing examinations or actual electrical work.

2. No professional advice

Nothing on the Site constitutes professional, electrical, legal, or other advice. Always consult a licensed electrician and your jurisdiction's electrical code authority before performing or relying on any electrical work or interpretation of the NEC.

3. Accounts

You may create a free account. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@electricianpracticetests.com of any unauthorized use. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reproduce, scrape, or systematically download large portions of the question bank, except as permitted for personal study use.
  • Resell, redistribute, or republish content from the Site.
  • Reverse engineer, probe, or disrupt the Site or its underlying systems.
  • Use the Site to violate any law or to infringe the rights of others.
  • Submit malicious code, spam, or fraudulent content.

5. Intellectual property

The Site and its content (other than third-party content used under fair use, license, or public-domain status — including references to NEC section numbers and EPA regulatory references) are owned by Electrician Practice Tests and protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. Trademarks of NFPA, the EPA, and any state licensing authority belong to their respective owners and are used only for identification.

6. User-submitted content

If you send us feedback, suggestions, error reports, or other content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use that content to operate and improve the Site, without obligation to compensate you.

7. Third-party links and services

The Site may link to third-party websites or display third-party advertising. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for third-party content. Your dealings with third parties are solely between you and them.

8. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT THE QUESTION BANK IS COMPLETE OR FREE OF ERRORS. PASSING A PRACTICE TEST ON THE SITE DOES NOT GUARANTEE A PASSING SCORE ON ANY OFFICIAL EXAMINATION.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ELECTRICIAN PRACTICE TESTS AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Electrician Practice Tests and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of any third party.
